True

There will be no funeral for entertainment icon Dick Clark, his rep tells RumorFix.

The family reportedly hasn’t decided whether there will be a public memorial for the TV host and producer who died Wednesday morning after suffering a heart attack.

American Idol paid tribute to the former host of American Bandstand Wednesday night.

Ryan Seacrest who considered the 82-year-old to be his mentor, said, “We can’t begin the show without acknowledging the passing of a television pioneer and my dear friend Dick Clark. Without Dick a show like this would not exist. He will be missed greatly. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.”

A FUNERAL and a MEMORIAL are two different things.  Maybe a dictionalry would help YOU….you NIMROD!     His rep SAID THERE WILL BE NO FUNERAL.    The MEMORIAL is what  “hasn’t been decided.”

Janet, is there not a difference between a funeral and a memorial service? I think so. Read the article with a little less judgment and you would understand what they said.

Seacrest is  “offering prayers”.  Well that’s sweet.  Apparently prayers don’t seem to mean much to a family that isn’t even having a funeral for him.     Does ANYONE in Hollywood  believe in God?   I see three marriages and two divorces in his Wikipedia bio.  Not a word of any religions beliefs.  So perhaps the family is just honoring his  life by not honoring it.
