Levi Johnston’s pregnant girlfriend, Sunny Oglesby, is defending Bristol Palin’s baby daddy saying he’s no “deadbeat dad.”

The couple appears on The Insider Thursday and Sunny says, “I’m tired of people thinking that my boyfriend’s a bad father, especially now that I’m having his baby. I don’t want people thinking that about him.”

The former Playgirl model and his 20-year-old girlfriend have been dating for about a year and a half — they say the pregnancy was “unplanned.”

Levi admits, “There was a time we went to the cabin and forgot the birth control pills and, you know, about a month later we found out we were having a baby.”

The former Wasilla mayoral candidate admits he’s behind in his child support payments and that he doesn’t get to see his son Tripp to much, but blames it on the Palins.

The Palin family attorney says, “If Mr. Johnston would like to exercise visitation, or perhaps pay child support, he knows Bristol’s number and should contact her directly.”

      doesn’t support Tripp financially. He doesn’t make any attempts to see him. He
      doesn’t want to sign over his rights, because he knows once that connection is
      severed, so is his income. It’s time Bristol plays hardball with this guy. She
      needs to start demanding that he make child support payments. If not, he needs
      to sign over his rights. Otherwise, he’s going to be a thorn in the side of the
      Palin’s for the rest of his life. By the way, I don’t know if his new girlfriend

      All I have to say is even if you “forget” your birth control pills, there is still this great thing called a condom. Has Levi been living under a rock and never heard of them? I mean really now, come on, didn’t every kid get that awkward presentation in health class at least once in their life? He really is just plan stupid for not learning from his mistakes, and Sunny, too. There is also such a word as “NO”. It’s all quite simple really. They are both to blame for poor choices. I hope they somehow gain some intelligence for the child’s sake.
