RumorFix has learned from sources close to the New Mexico production that set designers built five locomotive engines and nine rail cars for the movie instead of renting the trains.
They also built five miles of rail track in the middle of the desert.
Why go through such an enormous expense for for one movie?
Even though The Lone Ranger doesn’t come out until next year, our insiders say, producers are already planning for a sequel. So they think the train expense is a worthy investment.
