New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez has a hero, and it is isn’t Mickey Mantle. The MLB star reveals in an interview with The Insider’s Kevin Frazier that he’s trying his best to emulate the love life of A-list actor, George Clooney.

Asked whether he will ever settle down, a grinning Rodriguez reveals, “I’m not sure. I think my new hero is George Clooney. He’s my new role model [laughs]. I think he’s done it right.”

Since divorcing from Talia Balsam in 1993, Clooney has been a tabloid playboy, dating models, business executives and and former female wrestlers.

Rodriguez, a perennial all-star, also opened up about his former romantic relationship with Cameron Diaz, saying, “I don’t like talking about my relationships, but I will tell you about CD: She’s probably one of the greatest human beings I’ve ever met, and just an amazing light.”

Alex is now dating Torrie Wilson.
