After years of trying to have a baby with husband Bill Rancic, Giuliana Rancic announced on Monday that the couple are expecting their first child.

“Yes…it’s true! We’re Having a Baby!” Giuliana wrote on Twitter. The Rancics will be having their baby via gestational surrogacy, which means the baby will still be genetically theirs.

“We are so thrilled that our prayers have been answered,” the E! News anchor told E! Online.

Bill said: “We are absolutely ecstatic to be sharing this with everyone who has been following our journey.”

The baby is due in late summer of 2012.
