Accused White House party crasher Tareq Salahi is running for governor of Virginia, RumorFix has confirmed.
But why?
Tareq tells us he doesn’t want Attorney General Ken Cuccinelli to get voted into office. “The attorney general is attacking me personally to grandstand and make a name for himself,” Tareq tells us exclusively.
Cuccinelli is suing Tareq for allegedly cheating customers out of wine tours. Tareq says he didn’t even run the wine tours, his estranged wife, Michaele, did. “Cuccinelli woke me up to see how corrupt our politicians are in Virginia.”
Tareq had supported Cuccinelli in the past — in fact, his winery, Oasis Winery, even donated 30 cases of wine to the attorney general’s inaugural ball in 2009,
Tareq, who usually supports Democrats, is running as a Republican.
