The Dancing With The Stars judges said farewell to singer Gavin DeGraw on Tuesday night’s results show.

It was a close call for Jaleel White and Kym Johnson who just barely beat DeGraw and dance partner Karina Smirnoff during the show’s first ever dance-duel. But sadly, the “Chariot” singer’s cha-cha didn’t cut it, and was sent packing just five weeks into the competition.

The singer-songwriter humbly bowed off the hit ABC show, saying, “So far, it’s been amazing just being a part of the show. My family got to have a great time, we reunited in a lot of ways. Having a great mentor and getting to reach out and know all these amazing people who are part of this show, it’s been awesome.”

Bouncing back for next Monday’s Dancing performance will be Maria Menounos, Jaleel White, Gladys Knight, Katherine Jenkins, RoShon Fegan, Donald Driver, Melissa Gilbert, and William Levy.
