Breaking News: Dick Clark Dead At 82

RumorFix has learned that America’s oldest teenager Dick Clark has passed away at the age of 82. The TV legend died on Wednesday morning after suffering a heart attack, his rep confirms to our staff.

Clark revealed that he had Type 2 diabetes in 2004. And on December 8 of that year, he was hospitalized after suffering what was initially termed a minor stroke. Complications from that medical emergency forced him to miss hosting duties on his annual New Year’s Rockin’ Eve show.

He returned to the show in 2005 where he remarked from behind a desk, “Last year I had a stroke. It left me in bad shape. I had to teach myself how to walk and talk again. It’s been a long, hard fight. My speech is not perfect but I’m getting there.” Before counting down to 2006, he mentioned he “wouldn’t have missed this for the world.”

Clark is survived by his three children and wife of over three decades, Kari Wigton.
