LA Coroner Craig Harvey revealed Thursday that superstar Whitney Houston was “a chronic cocaine user” and the “drug use exacerbated her heart disease.”
Look at the list of drugs found in Whitney ‘s system at the time of her death:
- Xanax, anxiety reliever
- Flexeril, muscle relaxant
- Benadryl, antihistamine
So what impact did they have on her death?
CBS News Medical Correspondent Jon LaPook says, “Cocaine could cause [the artery] to go into spasms, cut off blood supply and cause a heart attack. It can also cause a fibral or irregular heartbeat.”
As for the rest of the drugs, he says, “That’s a lot of medicine to be in one person … they can all make you sleepy.”
