Usher isn’t recording a duet with Adele, he just wants to — like really, really bad.
Earlier this month the singer revealed that he was interested in getting the British vocal powerhouse in the studio to work with him on a song, and some took that as meaning that the duet was definitely going to happen.
Now Usher is doing his part to clear up the rumor he inadvertently started, telling KISS FM, “It’s a rumor now, but I would love to work with her. I think she’s incredible as a vocalist … We haven’t spoken and I haven’t spoken to her people.”
So for now, no Adele and Usher duet.
