One of Whitney Houston’s dresses, and her Bodyguard earrings, are set to go under the hammer. The floor length black velvet dress is valued at $1,000 but is expected to sell for much more at an auction in Los Angeles next month.

A vest that she also wore in The Bodyguard is valued at $400, while the earrings could sell for me than $600. Houston fans can bid on the items at the Julien’s Auctions’ “Hollywood Legends” sale on March 31 and April 1.

“For people who are fans of Whitney Houston and never would have had a chance to meet her and never got to talk to her, these are items that literally touched a part of her life. They are a way to relate to her or be a part of her life without having known her,” a spokesmen for the auction house says.
