Bobbi Kristina Brown emerged from seclusion on Friday to say goodbye to the woman we knew as a pop legend, but whom she simply knew as mom.

The 18-year-old joined her grandmother, Cissy Houston, and other family and friends for a private wake at the Whigham Funeral Home in Newark, New Jersey.

This is the first time the daughter of Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston has been seen in public since she was rushed to the hospital in a stretcher Sunday suffering for exhaustion and anxiety.

Bobbi Kristina and Whitney has a very special relationship. Even Bobbi Kristina’s ex-boyfriend Zach Jafarzadeh told Inside Edition that “Krissi was the parent sometimes.”

      I always told my children when they were small and still… remember two halves equal one whole. This means, that half of them is their father and half of them is their mother…. Bobbi Kristina must remember her Mother did NOT leave her, she will always have her Mom as that is what makes up her…. Honor your Mother Krissi and be the best you can be…that’s all she ask and that’s all God expects…. be your best!
