Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry could have written this script!
Former Housewives star Nicollette Sheridan broke down in court for about five minutes Wednesday afternoon when her attorney described the incident that sparked the $4 million lawsuit, RumorFix is reporting.
Sheridan’s attorney, Mark Baute, told the jury in opening statements Cherry slapped her upside the head. The writer/producer, who remained stone-faced in court, claims he merely tapped Sheridan to illustrate what she should do in a scene. At the time, Sheridan complained and her character was later killed off the show. Baute says ABC launched “a fake investigation” and now the star is claiming wrongful termination.
Baute says, the 48-year-old actress is “courageously fighting this battle by herself.”
Nicollette is due to take the stand Thursday at 9:15 a.m. We are told that she’s “nervous but ready.”
