When The Monkees lead singer Davy Jones was on stage, he was unstoppable.

But the 66-year-old, who died Monday of a heart attack, made a shocking revelation about music in a Dr. Phil interview last year.

The British musician known for “I’m A Believer” said he felt our lives are bombarded with too much music!

“You can’t go into a supermarket, you can’t go into a restaurant, you can’t go into a department store. There’s music, music music all the time,” he said.

He even surprised Dr. Phil McGraw, who asked, “Aren’t you in the music business?”

Davy responded, “Yes, that’s when the curtain goes up and I go ‘Hey, Hey, I’m a Monkee.’”

Davy and his wife, Jessica Pacheco who is half his age, were on an episode of Dr. Phil on April 21, 2011 to talk about their problem with bickering.

      I think this girl was ungrateful as hell and spoiled. After Davy died, she was tweeting ‘why is this happening to me? ” happening to her/ Poor Davy is the one who died. I felt this was a selfish, immature remark.  i cant believe I read she has a psychology degree. She sounds so immature it is not funny. to answer to  Her question ‘why is this happening to me” I would like to inform her that this is life, death is not a respector of persons, no matter who one is, how much money one has , how famous a person may be. you are just s human being like everyone else, Jessica, and life is not always a bowl of roses. period. for whatever reason, God thought it was davys time to leave this earth, and this is what happened. Davy died too young, but them i had a baby sister who died at one week old, Life is unfair as hell sometimes. It is amazing you dont realize this.

        There was a difference in lifestyles.  She was used to going out to concerts and parties, and having music on all the time  and he wasn’t.  He was an older British gentleman living out his golden years with a much younger woman.  He married that and he paid the ultimate price.
