Chris Brown’s erratic behavior, and violent past, hasn’t endeared him to many on the RumorFix staff, but even we have to come to the controversial R&B singer’s defense after seeing a story published about him in this week’s Us Weekly.

The tabloid claims that Brown is using his brutal beating of ex-girlfriend Rihanna as a way to pick up women. The magazine recounted an alleged incident involving Brown and a mystery woman in Los Angeles recently:

“[Chris] confidently approached an attractive brunette February 10 at the Lasio Professional Hair Care suite Grammy gift lounge and asked her, “Can I get your number? I promise I won’t beat you!” the woman tells the magazine. “He and his friends laughed, then one yelled, ‘That’s his new line!’ Ugh! I wanted to throw up!”

Someone else who wanted to throw up was Brown’s publicist who slammed the report. “That is absurd and absolutely not true,” he tells us. “He did not say that nor would he joke about that.”
