Talk show host Piers Morgan is as shocked as everyone else in Hollywood that one of Tinseltown’s  happiest couples is calling it quits.

Morgan talked to singer Seal in a show that will aired Friday night and said that Heidi Klum’s estranged hubby made for a very sad interview.

He told RumorFix he’s genuinely shocked  by news of the split.  He says he’s interviewed both Heidi and Seal in the past three months and never saw any signs of a split coming. The former America’s Got Talent judge says, they “seemed to be the most happy couple.”

Morgan adds that Seal told him contrary to tabloid rumors, there was no volatile temper or anger issues involved in the split and that Seal still seemed very much in love with the Project Runway star.  Check out the clip to see what he has to say about Demi Moore and Ashton Kutcher.
