Are Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta-Jones welcoming a new baby into their brood? That’s the rumor that Star magazine cooked up this week.

The tabloid says that the power couple is planning on adopting a child, since she was pregnant and lost the baby. The gossip mag backs their claim with a photograph of the mom-of-two appearing to have a baby bump during an event in NYC on Jan. 17.

Because women having anything but washboard abs in Hollywood is a sign of having a “bun in the oven”, we’re going to go ahead and set the record straight on this one right away.

RumorFix reached out to a rep for Douglas who shot down the rumor that the tall brunette was even pregnant in the first place. Therefore, the celebrity did not have a miscarriage nor is she considering adoption because of it. The rep tells us, “No truth to either rumor.”
