Brooklyn rapper Jay-Z has just released a new song dedicated to his newborn baby girl, Blue Ivy Carter. “Maybe I’ll paint the sky blue, my greatest creation is you,” the lyricist raps over the soulful beat.
In “Glory,” Jay-Z reveals where Blue Ivy was conceived, and even hints at his wife Beyonce suffering a miscarriage. “False alarms and false starts, all made better by the sound of your heart. All the of the pain of the last time, I prayed so hard it was the last time,” Jay recites before happily chiming, “The most beautifulest thing in the world, is daddy’s little girl.”
The rapper ends the song by talking about Blue Ivy being a product of Destiny which is a statement laced in so many layers we’re not even going to begin. And as for where Blue was conceived, “You don’t know yet what swagger is, but you were made in Paris and mama woke up the next day and shot her album package.”
