The adage says “There are only two things we can’t avoid: death and taxes.”

But it now appears that even after death you can’t avoid taxes.

RumorFix has uncovered an IRS document from December 21, 2011 — four months after Russell Armstrong died — imposing a tax lien on his property for failure to pay $23,689.94 in back taxes.

Tne Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star was found dead on August 15, 2011 after an apparent suicide. But, the lien on his property stays with the property and his estate, which means Taylor Armstrong will probably have to take care of the problem.

This could have happened for a number of reasons, and there may be no real tax liability.  It could be the result of missing filings, or it could be an audit result that is being contested.  Or maybe it was really owed, and his estate must now deal with it.  It’s easy to feel outraged when a tragedy like this happens, and it makes the IRS appear heartless, but it is really just an administrative issue like transferring titles and other things when people pass.  I really hope his executor gets someone involved with experience in back taxes as well as probate.  They usually are not the same person.  More can be found on IRS back tax liabilities and how to deal with them here:

Never did believe the “abuse” accuzations. She is an insecure, over botoxed person, who probably drove the man nuts trying to keep up with the “Jones”, as they say. All she has done is whine and cry, argue and fight.  Why did she get so mad at the other women who only repeated what she told them?  We all know she blew it out of proportion, she wanted to live a life he could not afford, and I bet she gave him hell behind closed doors.  She had no problem at the beach party “defending herself”. Truth be known, she may have beat the hell out of him. I am truly sorry he felt no other way out but to take his life, and the method he chose was horrible,  for his parents and family there are no words to help their pain, but if you had to put up with that woman and especially that spoiled brat of theirs, he should have fled the country, changed his name, or left and gone somewhere that she couldn’t find him. He was probably in trouble with money trying to keep her happy and in the style her other housewives have.  That alone would be impossible.

I dont know, she showed a lot of the signs of being in an abusive relationship. In season 1, just seeing them interact with each other I thought he was abusive.. “When Russel says its time to go, its time to go!” Being in an abusive relationship for 7 years, I can tell ‘the signs’ both of an abuser and someone who is being abused. Someone who is willing to harm themselves, even commit suicide, is definitely willing of harming others.

          faith marie,
It has been reported in the media that the real reason Russell left last season’s white party is because he was taking his sister to rehab. Also, when they were in Vegas and he left, he had to go to one of his son’s ball games. Bravo made him look like a control freak. If you want to know what Russell was really like, go to his best friend Randy Edward’s blogspot “The Voice of Russell Armstrong”

I find it odd that the IRS (KGB) would file a tax lien for years 2003 and 2004 after he died, instead of before.  Why so many years afterwards?  The IRS has the tact and sensitivity of an Al Qaeda terrorist.  But then again, Obama must have put them up to this.  Afterall, I think he is one of the terrorists.

Not to defend the IRS, but they are well within their right in this tax lien.  As a CPA, I see these notices from time to time.  Russell failed to pay personal income (indicated by ’1040′) taxes for the years stated in the letter.  He has had eight years to pay these delinquencies and he has failed to do so.  The lien was imposed because russell failed to respond to the many previous notices that were sent to him.

My question is why a supposed millionaire would neglect to pay a mere $23,000 in back taxes and allow the IRS to place a lien on his property.  Furthermore, I have real problem with an individual who chooses to live a jetset lifestyle  and then refuses to pay their income tax liability like every other American.  He is a narcissist and a criminal.

This is only a small part of taylor Armstrong’s legal troubles. Wait until the fraud trial begins. Will Andy Cohen be forced to testify?
