Reports that Michael C. Hall and Jennifer Carpenter are headed towards a reconciliation are false, according to a source extremely close to the two.

According to Star magazine, the Dexter co-stars were “on a date at L.A.’s peninsula Hotel on Jan. 17.” This would make for some super juicy celebrity news. But unfortunately, this information is 100% inaccurate. Our source tells RumorFix that Hall, 40, and Carpenter, 32, were definitely not on a date. A dinner shared between the duo wouldn’t have even been possible considering our source tells us Jennifer wasn’t even at the Peninsula.

It looks like Michael and Jennifer, who were married from 2008 to 2010, are nothing but professional co-workers.
