It’s not every day that a hip hop superstar gives out personalized birthday wishes, but if you’re Britney Spears exceptions can be made. Brit Brit’s pal and former tour mate Nicki Minaj give her a very special –  and bizarre –  birthday shout out via YouTube.

Brit, who spent her birthday day ice skating, turned the big 3-0 Friday. Nicki, who celebrates her birthday on December 8, writes on Twitter:

“Happy Birthday to a fellow SAG & beautiful ICON @britneyspears :p”

Gone was Minaj’s pink wig of late, replaced by a far more demure platinum number with close cropped bangs; maybe her way of paying homage to our blond birthday Britney?

In her video Minaj sent a heartfelt message, but at the end slips into a cooky voice. Watch.
