American sculptor Daniel Edwards has just unveiled his latest work: a sculpting of Jay-Z depicted as a Scrooge McDuck type character. The unveiling comes just days after the popular New York rapper was panned by critics for trying to capitalize off the “Occupy Wall Street” grassroots movement by releasing a line of t-shirts that read: “Occupy All Streets.”

None of the monies made from the t-shirt sales went towards helping the movement, infuriating protestors.

“I think Jay-Z has made himself a face of [the] Wall Street that Occupiers are protesting against,” said Edwards. “Maybe Jay-Z is striving to be in the one percent? Which is why I chose the composition of a totem pole because I thought it would resemble the number one. Rap stars who turn ‘Scrooge’ have to suffer some damage to their street credibility.”

The artwork shows Jay-Z wearing several chains with a large dollar sign on his chest. Above him are various fictional characters known for being cheapskates including Mr. Burns from The Simpsons, Disney’s Scrooge Mc Duck and Richie Rich.

According to Forbes, Jay-Z made $63 million last year.
