RumorFix has obtained the first photographs of music legend Sly Stone since entering rehab for help with substance abuse. The picture was taken 40 days after the musician checked into a California treatment center.
We're told that the leader of Sly and the Family Stone is now clean and even writing a new album. He is pictured above looking healthy with his assistant Baybay, who is also now clean and out of the clinic after 30 days.
Friends say Sly is using his time to attend addiction classes but is also writing material for a new album - called Rehab Roadie.
''Sly is now clean and is looking better than ever. He is drug free and is bouncing around the place, playing his guitar and making everyone laugh. He is using the experience as the inspiration for a new album which we're working on called Rehab Roadie. He's cleaned up and his head is clear - he looks great and his music sounds awesome," Baybay says.
Sly will spend Christmas in rehab and is due to leave in January.

Love the man. Love his music. Hope he finds peace and emerges willing to share his talent with us again.
Dear Sly, You are the coolest cat that ever stomped this swinging sphere. I have loved you and your music since I can remember. My best wishes to you for a wonderful holiday season 2011 and can not wait to hear your next work of musical genius. I always wished I would have known you personally. There is never ever a day that goes by that I don’t listen to my man Sly. You have brought me through some rough times, so I have truly learned to be miceself. You are one tight brother. Debbie M
