Survivor: South Pacific‘s castaway Whitney Duncan, who began an on-air romance with fellow contestant Keith Tollefson, was secretly married for more than a year to country music singer Donny Fallgatter.

But RumorFix has exclusively learned that Fallgatter filed for divorce soon after his wife called him and admitted that she cheated on him.

A source close to the KingBilly country singer tells RumorFix that Fallgatter filed right after Whitney returned from Survivor and the couple’s divorce became official on November 8.

“At first I was mad and hated her but now I can say that everything happens for a reason and I’m in a better place now,”  Fallgatter tells RumorFix exclusively.
Fallgatter adds that his ex-wife told him she felt a connection with her Survivor co-star.  “She had no remorse, she said ‘I met a guy on Survivor and I don’t know what else to tell you.’”

To add insult to injury, Fallgatter’s home was broken into on the day his wife informed him she had fallen for another man.  Somewhere, a country music song lies in the making.

Whitney and Keith were recently spotted together  in Whitney’s hometown of Nashville, Tennessee.
