EXCLUSIVE: Social Network’s Jesse Eisenberg Suing Lions Gate For $3 Million

True

Playing Mark Zuckerburg in Social Network, Jesse Eisenberg may have learned a thing or two about asserting himself.

The Oscar-nominated actor has just filed a three million dollar lawsuit against Lions Gate Entertainment for making it seem like he’s the star of a film called Camp Hell, when he just has a cameo role, RumorFix has learned exclusively.

The cover art for the DVD features Jesse’s name above the title and features an image of Jesse’s face. The lawsuit states:

“Although Eisenberg appears on screen for less than five minutes, Defendants Lions Gate Entertainment and Grindstone Entertainment Group, are now attempting to fraudulently deceive and mislead the public and reap millions of dollars by capitalizing on Eisnberg’s newfound fame and popularity by falsely advertising Camp Hell as a horror film starring Jesse Eisenberg.”

Powerhouse attorney Marty Singer filed the lawsuit Tuesday stating that Jesse agreed to work for two weeks for only $3,000 “an amount substantially less than Eisenberg typically receives for his acting services.”

Good for him! Normally I’m not for suing but come one Lion’s Gate : who’s idea was that!? I’d be pissed too!

It’s pretty common, it’s a tacky way to trick people into buying old DVDs. Evidently, it works too.
