Sex and the City star Mario Cantone is a married man after exchanging vows with his partner of 20 years.

Funnyman Cantone, 51, recently wed musical theatre director Jerry Dixon during an intimate ceremony in New York, attended only by the couple’s family. Revealing the news during an appearance on Friday’s The View, he said, “I love him. He’s a good man.”

He added, “We’re older now. We’ve been together 20 years. After 20 years you’re like, ‘Thanks for the anti-climactic honeymoon government!’”

Same-sex marriage was legalized in New York in June, making it only the sixth U.S. state to officially recognise gay unions.
