Most Eligible Dallas star Matt Nordgren is coming to RumorFix to set the record straight on a headline in Star magazine claiming the former UT Austin football player had a “violent past.”
Matt tells RumorFix exclusively, “It’s the most absurd thing I’ve ever heard.”
The hunky Texan, who also denies he’s dating Taylor Armstrong, says, “There’s nothing violent about me. My entire life, I’ve never even shot an animal before. These are things I’m not even proud of. A man should get in a fight some time in his life. A man from Texas should go hunting — I haven’t even done those things!”

The tabloid and its sister online publication, RadarOnline, use an “affidavit for warrant of arrest and detention” as proof. In 2003, a college student accused Matt and his teammate of damaging his car and cellphone after a confrontation. But RumorFix couldn’t find evidence of an actual arrest.

Matt doesn’t deny the incident happen. In fact, he says he settled out of court of $1,000. He claims the student was blocking the road, they argued — Matt claims the guy almost ran him over so he was upset and kicked the side of his car. The guy came out — and Matt’s buddy knocked the cellphone out of his hand and broke it.
“Never did we touch him,” he says. “We didn’t hit him. My hand never touched any part of his body. I never got arrested. I never got charged with anything.”

Matt also professes to have a squeaky clean record: “Never have I seen handcuffs in my life. Never once in my life have I seen a jail. Never once in my life have I been to court. Never. Never one time!”
