If Hollywood insiders get their way, Twilight’s Taylor Lautner could be the industry’s next action star. The heartthrob’s first full action film, Abduction, hits theaters this Friday, and Taylor tells RumorFix he’s taking a page out of Tom Cruise’s book by doing a lot of his stunts himself.

“The most challenging [scenes] are some of the fight scenes because they required a lot of preparation. I have a boxing scene with my father and I had never boxed before so I had to take about three months of boxing before we even started filming,” Lautner explains.
In addition to training for boxing, the 19 year old says he had the opportunity to dance with danger while filming a couple of scenes. “There was a lot of crazy cool fun [scenes] that I was excited about [shooting] like the poster where I’m sliding down the glass, and I open the movie on a windshield of a truck flying down the road.”
