Tareq Salahi isn’t the only one whose heart was broken by his wife Michaele’s leaving him. The couple’s pet Doberman Pinscher, Rio, who suffered a heart attack several weeks ago and was struggling to regain his health, was also having to come to terms with his owner’s absence.
Unfortunately this weekend, Rio’s struggle came to an end. As Rumorfix reported last week, Tareq Salahi had been attending to his ailing pooch while dealing with his estranged wife’s betrayal. But late Saturday, Rio passed away. Salahi is said to be devastated by the loss of his beloved pet.

At least in his last hours, Rio was able to be comforted by Tareq. Michaele ditched her hubby AND sick dog last Tuesday to hook up with Journey guitarist Neal Schon while on tour in the southeast.
