It looks like the cast and crew of Dancing with the Stars are throwing themselves wholeheartedly behind Chaz Bono.

Peta Murgatroyd, professional dance partner of Ron Artest, couldn’t be happier that Chaz is competing and wishes nothing but the best for him.

“I got a peek at Chaz and he is just amazing, he’s doing so well!” says Peta. “He is an amazing person and all the controversy is just ridiculous. It doesn’t matter what happened before and what will happen in the future. He is an amazing person.”

Peta also confessed that everyone is waiting for Chaz’s mother, Cher, to show up so they can meet the star. “We’re all waiting to get an autograph! It’ll be really nerve racking actually.”
The dancer is also enjoying her time with partner Ron, and says that his football training really helps in their dance practices.
“He is such a character, he is so funny and he makes me laugh at every stage rehearsal. I’m having a blast with him. He needs to work on his technique and we’re getting there. He plays defense so he’s down on his knees and stuff. So I’ve got him doing a few of these poses. He’s very light on his feet!”
