Is Cat Ommanney Joining Real Housewives of New York?

In our latest article from star blogger and Real Housewives expert LynnNChicago, we turn the spotlight on Cat Ommanney from the Real Housewives of DC!

“Bravo’s most famous DC Housewife and author of  Inbox Full Cat Ommanney still resides in Washington DC, but is she going to be moving to New York sometime soon?  Sources have revealed that Cat is being considered by Bravo as one of the replacement New York Housewives.  Bravo insiders let slip that at least two or possibly three of the New York cast will not return next season.   Cat’s presence would certainly shake things up on the show, she’s no wallflower! Cat has never been one to keep her thoughts to herself — she recently appeared on Bravo’s Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen and New York Housewife LuAnn de Lesseps. Cat called LuAnn out for her behavior and her uppity attitude causing viewers to cheer!

Cat’s fans bombarded Andy Cohen’s Facebook page and Twitter for over three hours last week with pleas to add her to the Real Housewives of New York cast.

Bravo cancelled the DC Housewives series but sources reveal that it’s breakout star Cat has been courted by other networks and even has an offer on the table for her own show featuring her first love of interior design.  The show’s premise will have Cat traveling the country redesigning homes.  If Bravo doesn’t scoop her up for their New York Housewives, she may just bring the ratings for another network!

A source also revealed that Cat could soon be walking down the aisle again as her boyfriend recently proposed to her, no word on whether or not she accepted the proposal!”

        I think Andy has hired plenty of people he doesn’t care for.:-) I am happy to see sourcing in this article. This is a real question, no snark, do we think Andy is still casting? I know he did in the beginning, but the franchise and his other projects are growing. I know some exec. Producers continue to do it all, like Russett did at MSNBC, just have a feeling Andy is tired of being the go-to guy for so many high maintenence women. I bet he has to talk Jill, NeNe, Teresa and Camille down 50 times a season.
        I also think the shows are getting angrier than Andy likes.

      I spent time with Cat’s dad at her NYC book signing party. I asked lots of questions and learned several sweet and dear things about Cat from her very down to earth daddy. At one point in our conversation he got so excited he grabbed my hand and pushed gently through 50 fans waiting to talk to Cat and told Cat our conversaion. I was embarrassed but his kind grip was tight. Cat was as thoughtful as her dad but with a self confidence you can feel.
      I admire because I believe that confidence is based on a need for truth with a natural “BS” O Meter.

      I vote yes for NYHW ; Cat would confront any BS with no fear and for the purpose of good not GREED.

      Bring on Cat. NYHWs needs Cat.

      PS If I was a devious dishonest, lying,skank, rat,bully stalker,
      I would offer iLL’s cyber psycho a job to torpedo Andy w/FAKE tweets to get Cat hired.
      What a horrible example Zarin has set. Cat would Call Zarin Out on dishonest, mean, push cart behavior but I think it’s too late and IHJZ was FIRED.

          Yeah, that’s the word on the street, but you never now….then again, lots of ladies would just as soon have some nice arm candy, good companionship, and still be allowed to cat around (pardon the pun) with impunity! I’ve always said that most women would be happier with a gay husband – free fashion advice, free decorating, great entertaining, great company…and you can get a much on the side as you want with no worries.

      I can’t believe that Bravo and Andy would not put Cat on NYHW!! I think the viewers have been clear that we do not want to have to ban bravo’s new york show if Jill, Kelly, or Countless returns!!
      However, I think some of us would tolerate countless ONLY if Cat would be on the show to keep her ego in check!! LOL With the poor ratings on every show on Bravo right now, except for NJHW, I wonder why they do not jump at the chance to try to save new york with the addition of Cat?? It seems Bravo is struggling to cast new people for this NY – no brainer??
      When will Andy realize, the blogs and bravo message boards really reveal who we like and who we can’t stomach one more hour to watch. Hope they get it together and cast Cat!

      That “Cat Attack” was staged by Ommanney herself and less than ten people, some of them using several fake Facebook IDs. Cat has also,allegedly, resorted to friending and pandering to  Andy Cohen’s Facebook page fans, apparently to get AC’s attention. Me thinks the poor Brit must be in dire need of a job and Andy’s not been returning her phone calls.

        Sooo umm well since you are an idiot and have no fricking idea what you are talking about… The “Cat Attack” is an off shoot of a “Post in” Courtney G and I Fing started as a play on the “Sit ins” of my generation. They are NOT fake accounts since the BB have and continue to be the main staple of entertainment on Andy’s page.  Hell he should start paying them since they are more entertaining than many of the Bravo shows.  MORE than 10 people have participated in MULTIPLE post-ins which have become “Cat Attacks” Cat has posted the info when WE told her what we planned to do. So again know what you are talking about.  Cat at least does not have to BUY FB followers like some other HW have.

Anyone visiting Andy’s Facebook page regularly, other than you and the other 5 or 6 people posting there daily under several fake IDs, is painfully aware of this FACT. Obviously, so are you, otherwise your reply to me would not have been so personal and violently defensive. I feel bad for Cat.
