Now that we know that Michaele Salahi is OKay and not kidnapped, we present to your this commentary from our Housewives blogger: Lynn N Chicago.
It looks as if Michaele Salahi has left her husband and in the
most public way possible. Apparently Tareq Salahi simply couldn’t believe that his wife would leave him so he assumed it had to be a kidnapping. This is gold, you couldn’t write this stuff! I’ll bet Bravo executives are kicking themselves for missing out on filming this, if only they hadn’t cancelled the
Real Housewives of DC here is what could have been on film:
Michaele whispers on the phone to a stranger keeping her eyes peeled for her husband who rarely leaves her unattended, she sneaks into the bathroom to pack her cosmetics and personal items in an overnight bag then tosses it out the bathroom window into the yard. Telling her husband that she’s going to get her hair done, she sneaks around to the backyard, grabs the overnight bag and quickly tosses it in the trunk of her car. Waving to her husband as he stares lovingly out the window at his wife, she tears out of the driveway going to meet her lover in Tennessee.
Michaele wears huge dark glasses at the airport and retrieves the airline ticket left for her at the ticket counter, she glances at the Rolex on her wrist knowing she will be safely on the plane before her husband even knows she’s gone, She sighs in relief that she’s gotten past the biggest hurdle.
Bravo’s cameras roll silently in the background as Tareq is freaking out just a few hours later wondering where his wife is, calling the hair salon and Michaele’s dance instructor who deliver the bad news, she never arrived at either appointment.
As the Bravo cameramen chuckle in the corner, Tareq calls police insisting that
Michaele has been kidnapped only to be told by police that they just talked to her a few minutes ago and she is perfectly fine. ”NO!” Tareq yells, “You’re not taking this seriously! She would never leave me.” You can hear the smile on his face as the police officer responds, ”Sorry Mr. Salahi but your wife is perfectly fine, she is where she wants to be.” Bravo’s cameramen almost stop Tareq from calling the FBI but this is just too good and it makes for great television so they continue to film, shaking with laughter.
Meanwhile, somewhere in Tennessee, Bravo’s cameras follow Michaele Salahi into the arms of
her new lover, Journey lead guitarist Neal Schon and with special permission Bravo films the concert in Nashville. Michaele is seen jumping up and down and dancing in the aisle with a lighter burning in her hand held high over her head. Meanwhile Neal’s band mates are arguing about who’s tour bus she’s going to be assigned to ride in for the rest of the tour.
They finally agree she will ride with the roadie’s and the crew on Bus #4 with the band’s equipment.
Cut to Tareq frantically searching the Internet for private investigators who will find his wife in exchange for dinner at the White House, “Look, I know how to get in without an invitation, honestly please just find my wife and I’ll get you in.”
Then the big news hits, who wouldn’t have paid big money to see the look on Tareq’s face when h heard she’d run away with a rock star?
Damn you Bravo!
