Nicole Richie has left the Simple Life behind and is ready to find a Fashion Star, RumorFix has confirmed.

Paris Hilton’s former BFF is going to be a celebrity mentor on the new NBC show joining Jessica Simpson and designer John Varvatos.

Nicole’s rep confirmed the news to RumorFix, and Jessica sent out her congrats on Twitter:

“So happy about @nicolerichie and John Varvatos joining Fashion Star!”

Nicole is going to help contestants design their own fashion label with the hope of landing a multi-million dollar contract.

The show will be hosted by Elle Macpherson.
