One thing that’s very clear about Real Housewives of New York star Jill Zarin – she does not take things lying down!
Ramona Singer told RumorFix: “The only problem I have is Jill Zarin who is jealous of my latest business venture.”
And now Jill is accusing Ramona of envy and sabotage. In an official statement to RumorFix, Jill’s rep tells us:
“Jill applauds Ramona’s achievements and wishes her continued success in all of her endeavors. As the first Housewife to partner with major national retailers, the Jill Zarin brands continue to expand. Jill’s shapewear line, Skweez Couture by Jill Zarin will soon be available at multiple national retailers such as Macy’s and Lord and Taylor. In addition, Jill has multiple product categories currently in development that will launch at national retailers in late 2011 and early 2012.
Jill believes in empowering women to succeed and feels the only reason that a woman would tear another woman down in order to promote herself is a lack of confidence and self-esteem. Jill feels that when there is a struggle on the inside due to poor self-image, it often gets expressed as sabotage of other women. This type of female jealousy or resentment is sometimes referred to as “tall poppy syndrome.” The tallest poppy in the field is the first to get cut down. Similarly, when women become conspicuously successful they are often attacked by envious colleagues. Ramona has attacked Jill’s success many times and has even resorted to sabotaging a very lucrative endorsement deal that she had with Kodak.”
