The former Disney star was linked to Hollywood’s new ladies man Ryan Phillippe by E!.

“Lovato has been quietly dating Phillippe over the last couple of months. A sources say Phillippe and Lovato started seeing each other casually, but it quickly heated up, with the source revealing that things have cooled a bit since the birth of Phillippe’s daughter.”

RumorFix caught up with the 18-year-old Thursday night in Burbank, California and we asked her point blank if she’s dating Ryan.

Her answer was just as direct: “Nope.”

Later she tweeted:

“Ladies and gentlemen, and also BLOG SITES – I. AM. SINGLE. I’m not dating anyone. I’m loving my independence right now.”
