Demi Lovato is breaking her silence about the fight with her backup dancer that ended up sending her to rehab, RumorFix is reporting.

The Disney star, who was in a treatment facility for “physical and emotional issues” for three months, is showing remorse about punching Alex Welch in the face.

“I think rock bottom was when I lashed out at a dancer of mine, and she was a friend before any of it,” she told 104.3′s Valentine In The Morning radio show.

“And I just had this breakdown and it was completely uncalled for, it was not right and I still regret it to this day. But I think that might have been rock bottom that lead me to treatment,” the 18-year-old reveals.

The fight between Demi and Alex happened while she was on tour with Jonas Brothers last year. After a night of partying, Demi lashed out at Alex thinking she had tattled on her. Demi and Alex later settled out of court and Demi checked into rehab.
