New York native Lea Michele is thrilled that her hit TV show is filming in her hometown.

She tweeted, “Now it’s time to get movin because my dream of shooting Glee in NYC is finally coming true! Hope u r ready NYC…Miss Rachel Berry is here!!”

The 24-year-old and her co-star, Cory Monteith, shot a scene at Bow Bridge in Central Park on Tuesday, she was wearing a beautiful turquoise dress and he rocked a suit — something you don’t usually expect Finn to don. And, he’s presenting his girl with a bouquet of flowers.

It’s the second day of shooting their Nationals compeition, and everywhere they go the crowds follow.

On Monday, some overzealous fans made Cory lose a shoe, but Lea was just enjoying the attention:

“Thank you again to all of our amazing devoted fans who hung out with us today. It truly was a magical day. You guys are amazing! ”

Glee usually shoots on six sound stages in Hollywood. This is their first trip to the Big Apple.
