Enrique Iglesias Explains Why He’s Not Touring With Britney Spears

It sounds like Britney Spears’ people jumped the gun. A rep for Enrique Iglesias confirms that the pop star and the Latin sensation are not touring together

“Despite initial reports based on formal discussions of the possible run, Enrique will continue on his solo tour in support of his new album EUPHORIA,” a statement released to RumorFix states.

“Enrique has great respect for Britney and is a longtime fan of her work,” the statement goes on to read. “He is very sorry for the confusion this might have caused to anyone.”

TMZ is reporting that Enrique pulled out at the last minute, because his ego couldn’t take being Britney’s opening act.

Enrique is currently on a sold-out European tour and recently received 14 Billboard Latin Music Awards nominations.
