Kelsey Grammer’s estranged wife says her husband talked her into doing the reality show that has made her the most hated Housewife on television.

Camille Grammer, who appears on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, says, “I didn’t want to do the show. I wasn’t ready to expose my life that way.”

She says she was surprised that the normally reserved sitcom star would want her to join the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast.

“He thought it would be good for me to do something that was separate from us being a couple. This is something that was my own thing.”

Now the couple is embroiled in a very public divorce, where Camille stands to get $50 million in a settlement, and she says Kelsey will not even talk to her.

“Everything I find out is through the press with him. Or he writes me an email or text,” she says.

“I think it’s really important for us to speak if we’re going to raise children together. We need to co-parent. So right now, my focus now is that we hopefully become friends and we move on from this and we can become good parents to our two young children.”

Kelsey, who is engaged to Kayte Walsh, has asked for a speedy divorce.
