Margaret Cho is putting her claws away following a public cat fight with Bristol Palin. A feud between the former Dancing with the Stars contestants ignited after Cho wrote on her blog that vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin forced her daughter to do the show.

Bristol confronted Cho’s claim head-on in a message posted on her Facebook page. “Let me be blunt: my mom did not ‘force’ me to go on DWTS. She did not ask me either. The show approached me. I thought about it. I made the decision.”

Cho is now admitting she didn’t really know what she was talking about when she made the accusation. “I didn’t know if it was true, I was just reporting on stuff that I was gossiping about,” Cho told Access Hollywood Live.

Cho’s rep tells RumorFix that she never met Sarah Palin, but blogged about what she heard from Bristol’s circle of friends.

“I just wanted to say what I thought and mostly I just wanted to say that I was upset because people were criticizing her because of her body … I felt that before and I hated that when it happened to me. So, I wanted to say, ‘She’s not fat, she’s a beautiful girl!’”

The comedian also let it be known that she holds nothing but goodwill for Bristol, “I like her, I’m a supporter of Bristol. I’m not a supporter of their family’s politics, but I think she’s a cool person.”
