Kim Kardashian is dead — and not many people seem to care.

On December 1, Kim, Lady Gaga, Justin Timberlake, Jennifer Hudson, Alicia Keys, Usher and Ryan Seacrest announced the Digital Death campaign. The celebrities have shut down their social networking accounts in an effort to raise money for people battling HIV and AIDS in India and Africa.

The group had hoped to raise a modest $1 million, but have only raised $293,051 in four days.

None of the superstars will be able to use their Twitter or Facebook accounts until $1 million is raised, and at this rate, that might take another eight or nine days.
