Does a new record titled "Breaking News" contain the vocals of the late Michael Jackson or not? That's the debate taking place in the entertainment world, but RumorFix may have an answer.

"Breaking News" was reportedly recorded in late 2007 with producers Eddie Cascio and James Porte.

Now, Howard Weitzman, the attorney who represents Jackson's estate, has submitted a statement to RumorFix vouching for the song's authenticity.

Weitzman writes, "Six of Michael's former producers and engineers who had worked with Michael over the past 30 years -- Bruce Swedien, Matt Forger, Stewart Brawley, Michael Prince, Dr. Freeze and Teddy Riley -- we all invited to a listening session to hear the raw vocals of the [Eddie] Cascio tracks in question. All of these persons listened to the a cappella versions of the vocals on the Cascio tracks being considered for inclusion on the album, so they could give an opinion as to whether or not the lead vocals were sung by Michael. They all confirmed the vocal was definitely Michael."

The statement goes on to say that Michael's musical director for 20 years, Greg Phillinganes, and Michael's vocal coach, Dorian Holley, also agreed the vocals are Michael's.

Sony's Epic Records has decided to release the track as part of the album Michael that drops on December 14.
