In March, the National Enquirer reported that Marie Osmond's 18-year-old son committed suicide because he was struggling with being gay.

Even comedian Roseanne Barr got on the band wagon and blasted the Mormon Church for causing the boy's death by not welcoming gays.

On Thursday, Marie went on The Oprah Winfrey Show to talk about the February suicide for the first time and she cleared up rumors about her son Michael Bryan.

"My son was not gay," Marie said, "He wanted to be married and have a family and travel all over the world."

The Las Vegas performer fought back tears as she spoke about her son's tragic death.

She went on to say, "It wouldn't matter if he was [gay]. I have a daughter who is gay. It was my daughter who was offended by it [the gay rumors]. She was like 'What? It's all gay people who commit suicide?' It was something she really wanted clarified that her brother was not."
