Ellen surprised Sue Stern with her husband, who has been deployed in Iraq for nine months, a brand new car and $10,000 cash.

RumorFix spoke with Sue and got the story behind the emotional reunion.

Sue tells RumorFix exclusively that she wrote to Ellen because she felt alone. “Everyone was screwing me over and I needed someone on my side.”

Sue says her car was totalled by another soldier, her husband was on a tour of duty and she was alone with her newborn daughter, Minka.

The 24-year-old mother tells RumorFix she was hoping Ellen would at least write back to her so imagine her surprise when Ellen flew her out to Hollywood for the reunion.

So, what’s she going to do with the all that money?

Sue tells us she’s going to put it in savings, but she’s going to splurge on two things first: a $50 stuffed bear from Universal Studios City Walk for Minka and new windows for her home outside of Seattle, because “It’s so cold.”
