A Dancing with the Stars judge and professional dancer are taking a quick step towards mending their relationship, RumorFix has learned.

Carrie Ann Inaba and dancer Maksim Chmerkovsiy clashed Monday night after Inaba gave Maks’ partner, Brandy, some harsh criticism.

But 24 hours later, tempers cooled and the Ukrainian dancer tried to patch things up.

“I’d like to apologize to the fans,” he said. “It’s not the drama they want to see, they want to see beautiful performances and see all the stars perform amazing last night. I’m sorry and I lost my cool a little bit. and I want to go back to being cool.”

When asked if he had a message for Carrie Ann, he said, “Let’s do our jobs. I’m trying to do mine.”

Later, the judge and professional choreographer said, “Maks i just want to say something — first of all to all the dancers. I’ve always respected all of you … I hope you will let it go.”
