They say the first step towards recovery for addicts is admitting they have a problem! If that’s true, Lindsay Lohan may have just taken the biggest step of her life.

On Friday, several media outlets got the story right when they reported Lohan failed a court ordered drug test. In the past, Lohan has vehemently denied drug abuse rumors, but this time, she admitted she has a problem.

“Regrettably, I did in fact fail my most recent drug test and if I am asked, I am prepared to appear before judge Fox next week as a result,” Lohan tweeted Friday afternoon.

“Substance abuse is a disease, which unfortunately doesn’t go away over night,” she added. “I am working hard to overcome it and am taking positive steps forward every day. I am testing every single day and doing what I must do to prevent any mishaps in the future.”

By failing her drug test, Lohan’s probation has been revoked and a bench warrant issued for her arrest. The warrant has been put on hold until Lohan appears in court Friday morning. The once promising actress could face 30-days behind bars for the mishap.

Lohan was just releasedlast month from the UCLA Neuropsychiatric Hospital where she spent 23 days receiving substance abuse counseling.
